Nooley Deen Outdoors was a parody of Tony Dean Outdoors, which starred South Dakotan, Tony Dean. Tony was an avid outdoorsman, who was loved and respected by many, including the producers of Nooley Deen. It was intended to be a one-off radio comedy bit, but ended up having enough episodes to fill two CDs! Nooley was a product of two people who worked at 95.7 KSOB (Now KQSF-FM) in Sioux Falls. Their radio names? Keven Steele and Mark Cartwright. When they teamed up, it was pure laughter between the two. Mark would start recording, and the two would ad lib the show bit by bit, with Steele doing his now famous impression of Tony's (non-existent) brother. Mark would then take the audio and edit it down, adding the sound effects, and becoming the voice of Sh'malla, Nooley's mail order bride. In the end, it became very popular, selling an amazing amount of cds (considering it was hunting on audio) back in the 90's.
